Ministry Update March 2014

Dearly beloved,

It is another season to praise God again, for He is a wonderful God that deserves our praises. God has done a tremendous work with us in the Africa Outreach Ministries. So far our churches are doing very well, with more people joining the church at almost every Sunday. He is adding to His body and the church is growing. We are in the season of preparing for Easter and this is going to be a very rewarding time for every member of the body.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) This past summer, as other summers, we had our city-wide VBS with over 1600 children in attendance. Our primary aim in the children’s ministry is to train and grow the children in the knowledge of Christ. Last summer more than 200 children accepted Christ as their personal Savior.

This summer, we are looking forward to bringing the children for another wonderful time of ministering to them. We need $15,000 to bring about 2000 children and introduce them to the knowledge of Christ. We will transport the children to and from the program center.

For example of what VBS is like, see http://vimeo.com/22923790.

Fellowship Bible Church (FBC) – We have just completed our church building project in Ikot Ekpene. Presently, we are averaging 63 members in our Sunday morning services. This year, our desire is to grow these men and women into full maturity in the Lord. We also conduct a bi-annual conference pastors and church workers.

Africa Theological Seminary (ATS) – The Seminary has over 40 men and women in attendance who have received a calling in their lives to serve the Lord and with little or no prior training on how to use the Bible effectively. We are also doing our best to explore the probability of affiliation.

Our Seminary is thriving as well. Since we started, we have had over 62 churches started by the students in the hinterland. We are prayerfully looking for sponsors for the students. The school fee is one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) per semester.

Our problem now is having sufficient classroom for the students. We are therefore requesting help to enable us build classrooms for the students. We are requesting that you will please partner with us in these endeavors as we continue to serve God.

Below is a report from one of our graduates:

My Theological College, Africa Theological Seminary (ATS), is a vision come true by Rev. Aniefiok Udo who is the President of this great institution.
The College is located at Itak Ikot Udo, (about 1 kilometer) from the city of Ikot Ekpene the 1st British tested local government in West Africa in Akwa Ibom state of Nigeria
It is a seminary with a vision to train and educate men and ministers of the gospel as well as Church workers in the Lord Vine Yard.
The college classrooms are well arranged with adequate seats and tables per student with whiteboard fixed per class. The college has a large library with reading materials and a qualified Librarian. There is a standby generator in the college for electricity supply. The internal administrative arrangement through qualified administrative persons is very interesting.
The systematic hourly programmes to suit even the working classes and business ministers to attend. The lecturers are carefully selected based on their qualifications, experience and spiritually fill and faithful to the work of God.
The college has helped me to know that it is important to note that God has not forgotten about His original designed and purpose of making man. It has exposed me to others called Christian from different denomination in this part of the world.
The college is so easy with well behaved and educated lecturers who lectured are so unique couple with the African Leadership Textbook sent down to us for more effective studies. The college tution and method of payment suit the less-privilege as touching financial aspect. I enjoy the conducive Spiritual atmospheres of college environment of the college. I also benefited a lot from the Vacation Bible School that is organized annually for children in the state, in which I am one of the teachers and I personally benefited from the VBS programme. My studying at ATS has made a change in my local church both physical and spiritual of my life. I have benefited a lot from ATS in which few are mentioned above. I hereby recommend ATS to any minister or church worker to enroll.
In conclusion, I will call upon the management and the visioner, Rev. Aniefiok Udo of this great institution to keep the flag flying so that this vision would not die despite the financial difficulties faced by this institution.

Yours in the Lord
Pastor Aniekan U. Inyang
